| Description | The 3-day Installation and Configuration course teaches the student how to perform a complete Netcool/OMNIbus V7.3 installation. The course includes all of the steps required to: install the Core software components, configure an ObjectServer, install basic Probes, configure a bi-directional gateway to implement an ObjectServer high availability configuration, install and configure the Web GUI component and configure Process Control to implement the automated startup and management of OMNIbus components. |
| Who will benefit |
This course is designed for Network Operations Center personnel, administrators, and others who install Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus or perform basic administration and configuration tasks. The course provides instruction about some of the basic administrative functions that are necessary for a typical installation. The course is not intended to provide extended administrative training. That training is covered in the IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus System Administration and Maintenance 4-day course (TN0331DE). |
| Required skills/knowledge |
You should have: Students should have general system administration skills for UNIX, Linux or Windows. Knowledge of (and experience with) scripting languages and/ or SQL is recommended - but certainly not required.
